Visit the old station warehouse building which has been converted into a museum and shows the time when rail coaches ran daily and luggage was transported all over Sweden. Ammarnäs Naturum has exhibitions about the nature and culture of the Vindelfjällen mountains, sights and delightful places to visit. The staff are on hand to recommend hiking trails, guided tours and interesting places to visit. Potatisbacken (Potato Hill) in Ammarnäs is a real highlight. The hill was farmed in the mid-19th century and traditional Swedish “almond potatoes” are still grown on the slopes today.
