Prices and discounts

Tickets: Bought per stretch of journey. The price depends on the length of the journey and is based on a rate of SEK 1.29/km. Seat reservation is included when booking in advance. When buying tickets onboard, seat reservation is not included.

Seat reservation: SEK 50/stretch as a supplement to the Inland Railway Card. “Stretch” refers to a single journey between two destinations on a given day. Send us an email or call us when you want to book your seat or book it here. Book your seatreservation here!

Inland Railway Card: SEK 1,550 from June 7 to August 29. The card is valid for 14 days.. Book your Inland Railway card here!

Bicycles: SEK 50/stretch (according to availability).

Pets: SEK 50/stretch. Pets should travel on the floor and in the ”pets permitted” section of the train.

Tickets cannot be refunded once the journey has commenced. When changing a confirmed booking, a fee will be charged.

Package tours: The price for the packagetour depends on what is included. Please see Package tours on the left side for dates and offers. 


DISCOUNTS

Family discount: Two children (up to their 16th birthday) travel free when accompanied by an adult. Additional children pay half the standard fare. Seat reservations can be purchased for children at a price of SEK 50 per section of the journey.

Children discount: Unaccompanied children (up to their 16th birthday) have a discount of 50% on tickets and the Inlandsbanan Card. See also Family Discounts.

Youth discount: Youths aged 16–19 receive a 25% discount on tickets and the Inlandsbanan Card. Discount of SEK 390 on package tours.

Student discount: Students carrying a valid student card and ID receive a 25% discount on tickets and the Inlandsbanan Card. Discount of SEK 390 on package tours.

Pensioners’ discount: Pensioners who have turned 65 as well as those who have retired due to ill health and those who have retired early receive a 10% discount on tickets and the Inlandsbanan Card on production of the relevant certification. Discount of SEK 155 on package tours.

Group travel: 10% group discount on tickets and the Inlandsbanan Cards when at least 10 paying passengers travel together.
To qualify for a group discount:
• The whole group must travel on the same section of the railway.
• It is not possible to combine the group discount with other discounts

International passengers: Eurail and InterRail tickets are valid on Inlandsbanan. We recommend booking a seat in advance to ensure that you will have a seat on the train at a price of SEK 50 per person per section of the journey.
