The Inlandsbanan

The Inlandsbanan (Inland Railway) runs from Kristinehamn in the south to Gällivare in the north – a total of 1300 km of railway. One idea is to do the journey in reverse; start in Gällivare and finish in Kristinehamn, or why not make it a return trip? There’s plenty of time to enjoy all that the journey has to offer and you can create your own itinerary according to your own wishes and interests. The Inland Railway is a journey where you can relax, experience things, meet people and taste what nature has to offer.

You have many possibilities as a passenger on the Inlandsbanan. If you decide to buy a package tour, accommodation and a host of interesting experiences and outings during the trip are included. Those of you who would rather explore the Inland Railway of your own accord should choose the Inlandsbanan Card. It is valid for 14 days and you decide the route, where you want to stay and for how long. Yu can also choose to take several shorter trips. Tickets can be bought for each stretch. On the Inlandsbanan you will find our knowledgeable guides. They give the passengers more details as to everythingthat passes by outside the train’s windows and also help with practical needs.
